Coinbox Hero is one of those games you have fun with, but get bored of after 30 minutes, then come back to a month or two later.
Coinbox Hero is a flash game, about, you guessed it, a coinbox. When the game starts, it plays epic music, only for you to figure out that you're in Germany and....THERE'S POLKA!!!...and a coinbox. What a bummer! So, you have to get rid of it. You start by hitting the coinbox with your fist, Mario style. When you get enough coins, you can get upgraded weapons, and workers to use said weapons, or collect coins. It's simplistic and fun. The weapon upgrades are great, from a fan, to a giant hammer, to a machine gun. All the while, next to you, you have a little Polka band playing a song. Quirky, fun, great. Right off the bat, I wasn't a huge fan of the graphics, but they work, they aren't ugly, and the fit the mood. As for music, there's only one song, that's catchy at first, but grates on your ears after a while. Luckily, you can mute it. The game can get pretty crazy after a while.
"Well, that's all well and good," you might say, "but how do you get rid of the coinbox?" Well, you have to buy a nuke. It costs a million bucks. So, you have to grind to destroy the box and see the ending. The ending is quite funny, if you are patient enough to get through the game. I won't spoil it, if you want to see it, but don't want to beat the game, go to YouTube. Overall, this game is great fun, and I hope there will be a sequel with more weapons, and improved graphics. My final ratings for the game are...
Graphics: 6.5/10
Controls: 9.5/10
Audio: 7/10
Gameplay: 8/10
Overall: 7/10
The conclusion? While the game is fun, it gets repetitive after a while, but it certainly is worth trying out, especially if you're bored.
